Russia tests 12 hypersonic missiles.

Russia has tested 12 destructive Sircon hypersonic cruise missiles from the sea.  Two more launches from 10 frigates were launched from the submarine.  As Russia's relations with the United States and Europe escalate over the Ukraine issue, Vladimir Putin's country has tested a Sircon missile five times faster than sound.

 The Admiral Gorshkov frigate recently conducted successful tests of the missiles, according to Reuters, a UK-based news agency.  President Vladimir Putin praised last week's missile test, saying "this is a great event for the country."

 According to Reuters, experts have expressed doubts about the advanced technology of these new generation missiles in Russia.  Earlier, Putin said the 1,000-kilometer-range missile was capable of hitting any target on land or at sea.  Hypersonic missiles can hit targets at five times the speed of sound.
