A Democratic Republic of Congo military court has sentenced 51 people to death for killing two UN experts.  The assassination of these two human rights diplomats has shaken the world.

 According to international media reports, Swedish nationals Zaida Catalan and American Michael Sharp visited the country's disputed Kasai area in March 2017.  They were killed as they went to investigate an incident of violence between government forces and an armed group.  Initially, their bodies were found in a village on March 28 of that year.

 Authorities say they were killed by gunmen.
