  The current government's interior minister said on Wednesday that the Taliban-led government's plan to provide new uniforms to police had passed.


  Home Ministry spokesman Engineer Izam said the matter was sent to the cabinet a week ago. Now it has passed. The garments will soon be made and distributed throughout Afghanistan.


  Engineer Izam further said that the new uniform will remain the same as the police uniform during the previous government. Not too much change will be seen.
