Israeli police have arrested 17 Israelis in connection with a racist attack on a Palestinian village. The country's police say 17 Israelis attacked the village of Hawara on January 24 with stones and sticks.

One Palestinian was seriously injured and Palestinian cars, homes and shops were damaged.

According to human rights groups, the residents regularly confessed to being attacked by Israeli settlers.

Previously Police have not taken any action for the attack. As a result, most criminals do not have to suffer any punishment.

The Israeli human rights group B'Salem says it has documented 451 such attacks of Jewish Israelis since 2020.

Police did not go to the scene of the 66 attacks. As a result, no one was arrested.
