The college professor resigned after being barred from entering the college after wearing hijab.

 Chandni has resigned after her hijab prevented her from entering a college in Karnataka, India.

The incident took place at Jain PEU College on Thursday.

The professor said she has been working at the college for the last three years. Hijab comes after regular classes. No one had said anything about the hijab before, but suddenly the college principal told him on Thursday, "You can't take classes after the hijab or any other religious symbol." He then announced his resignation.

Regarding the resignation, Professor Chandni said, "This new decision has hurt my self-esteem. So I have resigned." He mentioned this in his resignation letter.

"I strongly condemn your undemocratic actions," he wrote to college authorities about the hijab ban.

On the other hand, the principal of the college KT Manjunath has denied the incident.
